Outlook Express 5 & 6

	SMTP Auth and SSL
	Thrift Internet email may also be configured for SMTP Authentication and SSL encryption for outgoing email. Please note that SMTP Auth and SSL are optional and are not required to use Thrift Internet email. For further information and setup instructions, see the links below. NOTE: Please configure SMTP Auth or SSL after first configuring your email program for your Thrift Internet email. SMTP Authentication SSL Encryption (outgoing) SSL Encryption (incoming)

While there are a number of email programs in use, Outlook Express is the most commonly used email and news software. To use this product with Thrift Internet, select the information you need from the list below.

• Configure Outlook Express to use your Thrift Internet email
• Create Outlook Express identities for additional Thrift Internet email accounts
• Check your Outlook Express email settings
• Configure Outlook Express for Thrift Internet newsgroups

• Configure Outlook Express for Exchange 2000

Backup and Restore

If you need to backup your Outlook Express data, a backup and restore wizard is available on this site. Other backup utilities are available, including Outlook Express: OE Backup andOutlook Express Backup.

Please note that Thrift Internet does not support the backup software and cannot be responsible for any problems that might occur as a result of installation or use of the backup and restore wizard(s).
